- Role of the QHSSE Department
The QHSSE Department is responsible for governing, implementing, and continuously improving Mwasalat’s QHSSE Management System across all operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing QHSSE policies, frameworks, and performance standards.
Ensuring compliance with national laws, regulations, and permits.
- Aligning operations with international management system standards.
- Conducting risk assessments, inspections, and audits.
- Investigating incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions.
- Monitoring performance indicators and trends.
- Driving safety culture through training, awareness, and leadership engagement.
- Supporting innovation in safety, sustainability, and operational resilience.
The department works collaboratively with all business units to ensure QHSSE is embedded, measurable, and continuously improved.
